You can save money and give your hair a break from the chemicals found in most hair care products by using these natural home remedies.

One way to tame frizzy hair is by rubbing coconut oil into your hands and applying the oil sparingly onto your hair. You don’t want to put too much as this will make your hair look greasy. Try shampooing your hair less frequently to help with frizzy hair as well. Over shampooing your hair strips natural oils from the hair follicle.

Try rinsing your hair with baking soda to help get rid of shampoo build-up and styling product residues. Rinsing your hair with lemon juice is also said to bring life and shine back to dull hair. Apple cider vinegar mixed with water will give your hair shine and bounce, too.

As a hair rejuvenator, try adding essential oil of ylang-ylang to your shampoo, conditioner and styling agents. Ylang-ylang and rosemary essential oils are also thought to stimulate hair growth and may help your hair grow longer faster.

Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. You body needs the vitamins and nutrients in these things to keep itself healthy. What goes into your body shows on the outside including your hair.
