We’ve all seen them, maybe we are one of them, cell phone freaks. Their phone rings in the theater right at the best scene. They’re the ones in line at a grocery store telling their friend (and God and everybody) about what they did on their hot date the night before. Cell phone etiquette is important to the sanity of the world. Read on to keep up on your etiquette.
- Stay at least 10 feet away from other people when talking on a cell phone. Strangers really don’t want to know about it.
- Respect quite zone areas. These include libraries, theaters, restaurants, places of worship, and waiting rooms. Don’t talk about personal things while in any public area.
- Tell the person on the other line where you are so they know what kind of interruptions to expect.
- Don’t talk on a handset in the car. Get a headset and keep the roads safe.
Cell phones are here to stay but that doesn’t mean they have to be a nuisance. Follow these few cell phone etiquette rules and chat away to your heart’s content.
